Flynt Digital Adds Two New Hires

Flynt Digital announced plans to fill two key sales and marketing positions within its online affiliate program, which includes all Hustler branded products and websites, Hustler VIP, BarelyLegal.com, BeaverHunt.com, BustyBeauties.com, StudClub.com, and HomeTownGirls.com, to name just a few.

Darren Davis, formerly a project manager for Overture Services, will step into the newly created position of president of sales and marketing, and Harvey K., founder of content production company Fine Line Entertainment, will take the helm as Flynt Digital's affiliate marketing manager.

Davis told XBiz.com that in his new position, he will oversee Flynt Digital's affiliate program and all Flynt Digital's sales, marketing, public relations, and tradeshow endeavors.

Davis will report directly to Bruce Benevento, vice president of operations, and Ken Lawson, president and CEO of Flynt Digital.

"The most compelling thing about Flynt Digital is the ability to convert your traffic," Davis said in an interview with XBiz.com. "The Hustler brand name converts like mad. Webmasters can instantly jack up their ability to make money from their sites, taking that name and running with it."

Davis spent a significant portion of his career working for Autobytel.com, an Internet automotive marketing services company, and then later joined GoTo.com, a commercial search service provider.

GoTo was rebranded in September 2001 as Overture Services and was recently purchased by Yahoo!

"When I first came to GoTo/Overture it was a staff of only 40 people and there was an opportunity to make it into something huge. Flynt Digital is in the exact same place right now," said Davis. "But work for Overture had gotten too slow and cumbersome to try and create the kind of change that I wanted to create. The thing I missed most was working in an environment where I felt I could have an impact on a growing business and take it to the next level."

"My most pleasant surprise since joining Flynt Digital has been the closeness of the community of webmasters and the ability for people who have been in the business for years and years to accept someone outside the adult business and welcome me into their community," said Davis. "It's great for me to be passionate about the work that I’m doing."

While no new product or service announcements were forthcoming at this time, Davis said that Flynt Digital has some exciting surprises up its sleeve for the AVN Internext Expo in January.

In his new position as affiliate marketing manager, Harvey, also known as "TheHarvMan," will focus his efforts on promotions and marketing for webmasters. Harvey replaces Amber Fisher who will continue to work on other aspects of the affiliate program as well as pursue her own projects.

"We are still in the planning phases right now," Harvey told XBiz.com. "The intent of involving me in the Flynt Digital affiliate program is to use some of my relationships that currently exist with webmasters to further strengthen Flynt Digitals Properties with increased traffic and revenue. Additionally we will be looking at finding new and unique ways of rewarding webmasters for their traffic and loyalty in versions of the program yet to come."

Harvey brings five years of expertise in the adult industry to the Flynt Digital family. He first came into contact with Flynt Digital by shooting content for their CashQuest website, followed by the TrailerTrash series, a character-driven reality/comedy series.

During his tenure with Flynt Digital, Harvey will continue to maintain his involvement with Fine Line Entertainment.
